Summitt Exterior Cleaning Ltd. (“Summitt”, “we”, “us”) provides exterior cleaning services in Kelowna, Vernon, Lake Country and the surrounding Okanagan, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you get in touch — by text message from our website, a Facebook or Instagram lead form, or by phone, email or direct message — we collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The address or neighbourhood of the property to be serviced
- The service you’re interested in and your preferred timing
- Any other details you choose to share with us about the property
If you become a customer, we also keep records relating to quotes, scheduled work, service history, photographs of the work performed, and payment status.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Cookies and website tracking
Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). It sets cookies and records activity on this site — pages viewed, buttons clicked, and whether you went on to book — along with your IP address and browser information.
We use it to measure whether our advertising is working and to reach people who have visited this site. This means site-activity data is shared with Meta for advertising and measurement purposes. Meta’s handling of that data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
You can opt out. Use your browser’s cookie settings or a private/incognito window, enable a tracking-blocking extension, or adjust your Meta ad preferences. Blocking these cookies does not stop you from using this site or booking with us.
We do not use advertising cookies from any other network, and we do not run third-party analytics beyond what is described here.
Why we collect it
We use your information only to:
- Give you a price and answer your questions
- Contact you about your booking
- Schedule, perform and follow up on work you’ve booked
- Keep records of services performed at your property
- Measure and improve our advertising, as described above
- Meet our legal, insurance and tax obligations
We never sell your personal information. Aside from the website measurement described in “Cookies and website tracking”, we do not share your details with anyone for their own advertising.
How we store it
Booking requests sent by text arrive on a company mobile phone and are handled by the owner. Once work is scheduled, customer and job records are stored in Jobber, the scheduling platform we use to run our business. Job photographs may be stored in CompanyCam. Leads submitted through Facebook or Instagram forms are held by Meta Platforms, Inc. until we retrieve them.
These providers process information on our behalf and may store it outside British Columbia, including in the United States. Where information is stored outside Canada, it may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country.
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and we take reasonable steps to protect it against loss, misuse and unauthorized access.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate (such as Jobber, CompanyCam and Meta), bound to use it only for the services they provide us
- Our team members who need it to prepare a quote or carry out work
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose it
Advertising on Facebook and Instagram
We advertise on Meta platforms. If you submit one of our lead forms there, Meta collects your information and passes it to us — Meta’s own handling of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms.
Some images used in our advertising are illustrative examples of the kind of results our services produce, rather than photographs of a specific customer’s property. These are labelled as illustrative within the ad. Photographs shown on this website are from real jobs we have completed.
Your choices
You may, at any time:
- Ask what we hold about you and request a copy
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information, where we’re not required to keep it
- Withdraw consent and ask us to stop contacting you
